Besides the great game between Germany and Brasil at the world cup, I tried one bottle of my Firestone Walker Parabola 2014.
Firestone Walker Parabola 2014 [Imperial Stout, 14% abv]:
This beauty matured for 12 months in oak barrels. Black in colour. Extremely expressive and laser-like precision. Flavours of malt, caramel, wood, toast and chocolate. The toast level is a bit too high. Less toast would bring more aromatical balance. The biggest suprise and strength is the strong aftertaste, where the Firestone Walker regains power. An amazing beer. Drink: 2014-2019.

I highly recommend this beer. It has an impressive expression. Maybe it is too much for some people. With $15 in USA and €20 in Europe, it might not be the cheapest beer, but after you tasted this beauty, you don't mind the price anymore. For a wine of this quality, you would have to pay at least €40.
